The Knysna Forest

The Garden Route has a Mediterranean Maritime climate, with moderately hot summers, and mild to chilly winters. It is one of the richest rainfall areas, most of which occurs in the winter months, brought by the humid sea-winds from the Indian ocean. Any time of the year is good for visiting the area, depending if you enjoy a peaceful retreat during the winter months, or a bustling holiday destination during the summer.

Although Sedgefield is only 65km from the The Crags temperatures can vary up to 6°.

Summer: Hot and humid with a temperatures up to 28°

Winter: Cold and rainy, with occasional sunny days. Lowest temperatures in August, down to 13°.

Rainfall: 715 mm per year. The rainfall increases over the plateau to as much as 1 400 mm on the high southern slopes and peaks of the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains.

Nature has blessed this area with a pleasant temperate climate and moderate rainfall throughout the year witch makes the area a holiday resort through out the year.
